1. About Glitze
Glitze ("we", "our", "us") is a WhatsApp business management platform built for small and medium businesses in India — including saree sellers, boutiques, jewellers, and other retailers. We help businesses manage their product catalog, receive customer orders via WhatsApp, and respond to customer queries using AI-powered automation.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our platform at glitze.in.
2. Information We Collect
From Business Owners (Sellers)
- WhatsApp phone number (used for login via OTP)
- Business name, type, and description
- Product catalog information (names, prices, images, descriptions)
- Product images you upload, stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3)
- The WhatsApp business number assigned to you and your linked WhatsApp catalog
- Order and conversation history with your customers
From End Customers (Buyers)
- WhatsApp phone number and display name
- Message content sent to a business on our platform
- Order details including product, quantity, and delivery address
- Payment transaction details (amount, status, and payment reference) when you pay for an order — processed via Razorpay; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank credentials
Automatically Collected
- Usage data and page interactions on our dashboard
- Device and browser information for security purposes
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service — process orders, display conversations, and publish your product catalog to your WhatsApp Business catalog via Meta
- To process payments — collect customer payment for orders via Razorpay, and pay out collected funds to the business
- To send OTP messages — verify your identity when you log in
- To power AI auto-replies — your business name, description, and catalog are shared with our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses to your customers
- To improve the platform — analyse usage patterns to fix bugs and build features
- To communicate with you — send important service updates
4. WhatsApp & Meta
Our platform integrates with the WhatsApp Business API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Messages sent and received through our platform pass through Meta's infrastructure. By using Glitze, you agree to Meta's WhatsApp Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. AI Processing
When a customer sends a message to your business, our system may use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate an automatic reply. To do this, we share:
- Your business name and description
- Your product catalog
- Recent conversation context (last 10 messages)
This data is processed in real-time and is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
6. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region
- Product images are stored in Amazon S3 (AWS) and served over HTTPS; image URLs are shared with Meta so your catalog can display on WhatsApp
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor — Glitze stores only the transaction amount, status, and Razorpay reference IDs, never card, UPI, or bank credentials
- Seller payouts are transferred manually by the Glitze team; we do not store business bank account details on the platform
- Passwords are never stored — we use OTP-based authentication
- Sessions are secured using signed JWT tokens with 30-day expiry
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised Glitze team members only
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Meta / WhatsApp — to deliver messages and publish your product catalog (including product images, names, prices, and descriptions)
- Razorpay — to process customer payments for orders (transaction amount and contact details only; no card/bank credentials pass through or are stored by Glitze)
- Anthropic — to generate AI replies (business context only)
- Supabase — our database provider
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — product image storage (S3)
- Vercel — our hosting provider
We may disclose data if required by Indian law or a valid court order.
8. Data Retention
- Business account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- Conversation and order history is retained for 2 years
- OTP codes are deleted immediately after use or expiry
- You can request deletion of your account and data at any time
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your business data (catalog, orders, conversations)
- Opt out of AI auto-replies (toggle in your dashboard settings)

10. Children's Privacy
Glitze is intended for business owners aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our platform evolves. We will notify registered businesses via their dashboard when significant changes are made. Continued use of Glitze after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
